Convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein was invited to Jamaica by prominent Evolutionary Scientist Robert Trivers.
According to emails obtained from 2013 and seen by MHT Media, Epstein accepted the invitation and said he would visit in November of that same year.

"If you have never been to Jamaica before, this might be a nice time," Trivers wrote. 'Work will take place at Utech and U of the West Indies the two major campuses in Jamaica very close to each other, ' Trivers added: 'Of course I can find us some nice hotels and while long legged Bulgarian beauties and top European scientists are never out of style" Jamaica is also famous for if not for its scientists, at least for its beauties. "(As your host, I am licensed to carry as we say in Florida!)"
Epstein financially supported and was actively engaged with biological research focused on Jamaican athletes.
The correspondence documents plans to conduct intensive biometric measurements on up to 100 elite Jamaican sprinters, with access facilitated through national athletic institutions, and to collect data on bodily symmetry, digit ratios, and performance metrics.
Epstein was consulted on funding strategy, had previously supported related research, and confirmed his intention to visit Jamaica during the project period.
He also funded the ongoing research in Jamaica.
The emails include inappropriate and sexist language and raise serious ethical concerns about consent, power dynamics, and the extraction of high-value biological data from Jamaica.
They, however, contain no evidence of sexual arrangements or criminal activity.
Trivers spent around 13 years living on and off in Jamaica, and has been married twice to Jamaican women.
On September 1, 2016, Trivers made a courtesy call on Prime Minister Holness.
According to a post Holness made on his Facebook page just after the visit, "I received a courtesy call yesterday afternoon from world renowned Evolutionary Biologist, Robert Trivers, who presented me with his memoir titled “Wild Life: Adventures of an Evolutionary Biologist”. Trivers who spends his time between Jamaica and the United States is planning to carry out the first elite genetic study on top sprinters in Jamaica, which I fully endorsed".
