The Not-for-profit organisation Give Back Jamaica (GBJ), continued its philanthropic work recently with its latest stop at the May Pen Primary school in Clarendon.

During its visit, the GBJ team engaged in constructive discussions with students, teachers, and local volunteers on topics including early childhood experiences and cultural differences and similarities that promote positive behaviours.
The sessions also focused on character building, leadership, community involvement, staying in school, gratitude, and entertainment fundamentals.
Dr Annette Bartley-Satuyi is a pediatrician based in Maryland USA and is a former student of May Pen Primary. She was the Guest Speaker at the event held at the school.
During the event, selected students were presented with pairs of shoes.
Founded in 2013 by Dr. Ev Richardson and since its inception GBJ, has collaborated with over 50 Jamaican primary schools doing its best in enhancing the lives of school children.
It promotes educational and community development through innovative programs and strategic partnerships.

President of Give Back Jamaica Hopeton Brown tells us more.
In 2025, the team will visit schools in Kingston, St. Catherine, Clarendon, and Manchester as part of the GBJ Artist Voice-Up Program.
During their visits, they will read, recite, and encourage students to develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of family values, diversity, and global community needs through the educational and entertaining aspects of reading.
