Reggae Boyz winger Leon Bailey arrived in Rome to a warm welcome from fans of Italian Serie A club AS Roma on Tuesday, August 19.

This followed his loan move from English Premier League club Aston Villa.

In videos showing Bailey’s arrival in the Italian capital on Tuesday, fans gathered at Ciampino Airport to cheer on the 28-year-old as he signed autographs and posed for pictures.

Bailey will now undergo his various medical tests with both the club and the authorities before he can put pen to paper on the new contract.

According to multiple sources, the agreement has been reached in the form of a loan, with a payment of 2-3 million euros, while Roma has also acquired the right to permanently purchase the player for around 22 million euros at the end of the season.

This transfer is seen as an important step for Roma, which aims to strengthen its offensive department on the eve of new challenges in Serie A and in the European arena.
