Defending Manning Cup champions Kingston College are among eight schools down to participate in the second staging of the Yardie Sports Challenge Cup to be held at the UWI Mona Bowl from Thursday, August 7th to Sunday, August 10th.

Joining Kingston College in the four-day tournament conceptualised by Dwayne Richards of Yardie Sports, are last year's Manning Cup runners-up St. Catherine High, Calabar High, and Dinthill Technical, along with Charlie Smith High, Munro College, Manchester High, and York Castle.

Following the draw, Zone A features Kingston College, Manchester High, Charlie Smith High, and York Castle.

In Zone B are Calabar High, St. Catherine High, Dinthill Technical, and Munro College.

The teams will play each other once in a round robin format over the first two days of the tournament.

The matches will last for 60 minutes each, with a 10-minute half-time break.

At the end of the first round, the teams will be ranked from one to eight based on points, goal difference, and head-to-head where necessary, and then contest a quarterfinal round on Saturday.

The teams will face off based on ranking, with the number one seed facing the number eight seed, the number two seed facing the number seven seed, the third versus the sixth, and the fourth versus the fifth.

The alumni teams of the participating schools are also invited to participate in the tournament, and they will join the party at the quarterfinal round on Saturday, where they will be ranked similarly to their under-19 teams.

The teams that win on Saturday will advance to the semifinals on Sunday, where they will vie for a spot in the respective finals, which will also be contested on Sunday.

Along with the championship trophies, there will be individual awards for the tournament MVP, best defender, best midfielder, best goalkeeper, and leading goal scorer.

I’m into sports big time, but casinos are my way of keeping the buzz going between games. I like using https://aucasinoslist.com/casinos/cashtocode/ because CashtoCode keeps things anonymous. Found a site through them that has quick games and solid bonuses, so I can play without committing a huge bankroll. It’s a nice mix of excitement without the wait for the next big match, and I feel safer knowing they’ve reviewed it first.
